We've helped "nation build" enough already. The poor soldiers who accepted children for protection obviously never saw "Saving Private Ryan" (leave the native babies with their native families; childcare is not a soldiers' job and endangers others, including the abandoned child...)
Keep praying the Taliban allows a peaceful retreat, before resuming control of the country again. Once the funding is cut, America better be fully out. Good on Joe for keeping America's word and sticking to the Aug. 31 deadline. I don't think Taliban will attack troops before then, and once we're gone, the danger of more lost American lives for a 20-year-old culture reform war will end too.
Never forget the Cheney and Bush families who had never service members of their own, but decided to use the US Military for national building. One of America's most costly foreign policy mistakes to date. Poor old President Joe is doing the best job of cleanup of the Bush-Cheney-Obama escalations as he can.
Prayers up for the safe return of US military. We need them more at home than we need thousands of impoverished (and wealthy) refugees who will need significant cultural adjustment if they vetted to settle in the United States.
Please Americans: find a religious or charitable outlet for your culture preferences. It's illegal to us the US military to invade other countries to try and "reshape" their religious and cultural practices. You can't convert them at gunpoint, or by bribing them with massive taxpayer dollars: can we all agree on that now at least?
