Just... Retire that Mascot Name Already
They don't sell Zingers any more either...
Update: Wow, they still sell Zingers. I would have thought that went out with the anti=bullying craze = No zingers (like word zingers) here! (I don't much go down the cookie aisle anymore, but raspberry/coconut aingers, if you are into snack cakes still, give 'em a try. Hostess)
In other racial news, don't you wish they would interview -- anonymously, if needed -- some of the black administrative assistants in New York, who didn't get invited to the Governor's Mansion for the OT hours on New Year's Eve or the weekends, and who never had the opportunity to make extra money that way? Don't you wonder what other women think, those who likely would not have endured the escalating hug/ selfie butt grab/ hug kiss cheek/ hug kiss lips/ hug closely with an erection/ grope the breast ... action in the workplace, on the clock? Don't you wonder what the troopers outside the Governor's Mansion would say if this white, over 30 administrative assistant insinuated, to their faces, that they would "protect" the governor, not her, if she scratched him, pushed away from him, or went running outside to report what was taking place in his office?
How is there no diversity question here? Where are all the non-white women and why aren't their (non) on-the-job stories being told? Aren't there black women working in New York, as administrative assistants in the governor's office too? If not, that's a story. If so, interview these women please. What did they think about being passed over for the OT hours that the other white women kept coming back for? Because they were afraid of speaking out, and not keeping the job...
Maybe the best kind of cultural diversity is when we can learn from one another. The white women in New York clearly need teaching; they shouldn't be hired until they are able to find their voices, timely, and decline the advances of superiors because they fear for their career advancement or losing the extra OT hours.
