Is "We See You" the New Codeword for Amnesty?
Is there a message being sent -- a false hope -- to those non-papered immigrants who make it in and establish work identities that there will be a trillion-dollar financial package spent to support their family's social needs while working here in America?
In other news, Congress passed legislation -- I think -- to show for their work this week that will keep the American government funded and working through Oct. 16. So much for Nancy's promised progress. Maybe it is better to lower expectations, and invite some working reality into Washington?
"You can't always get what you want... but if you'd try sometime, you might find, you get what you need..."
No offense, but I don't think Nancy knows what working Americans really need. Hint: it's not daycare dollars for those doing well financially, or admitting more workers without legal papers and citizenship protections to compete for scarce housing and community resources in inflationary times...
Don't go to Joe. Go to the American people and ask them. Income taxes are not going to fund the revolution more than half of the current Democratic party is pushing for. Either postpone the revolution or start pawning the jewelry, Nance, to pay off some of your promises. That's reality... there is not enough to go around and throwing more and more money at the social problems will fail the country as surely as the Dems have failed in Chicago and other urban areas.
Yeah, we see you too. (And we just added 10,000 impoverished working Haitians to the mix, minus the women and children who won't be employed outside the home.)
