Lives are at stake.  What part of the "this-will-be-a-10-year-warplan; prepare yourselves accordingly" are our military masterminds missing?  The world is not ready for another prolonged war, and we've progressed beyond the "cold" stage already.  Let's cut the losses and get some non-military planners in the dialogue already?  God knows, the military planners clearly need help defending democracy.)
