Pay Attention to the Numbers.

 It might save your life!  Look, let's be honest, obesity kills people.  It's not for others to judge, until you spill over onto our paid seats, and we have to share your skin pressing up against ours, because you don't fit in the seat and spill over, and haven't paid for an additional seat to accommodate you.  As a slender-ish woman, I am always chosen by obese people, it seems, who select an empty seat next to me and ... spill over into my space too.

But aside from annoyance, here's the read reason Americans should be more concerned with normalizing obesity:  many products are not made to support that excessive weight.
