"Yeah, that's right, that's right... We Bad!"

You might be GenX if:  you've ever strutted into a room witchya pal, pretending to be Gene Wilder or Richard Pryor...

"That's right... We bad!"

We Bad!

(Pryor had the line, the speaking part, so nevermind your color, he was the one to be...)  It was the masterful walk of both men, though, that sold that scene.   ~Stir Crazy (1980)

ALSO:  Happy Earth Day!
Who remembers when "you gaylord!" was the big playground insult to hurl back in the day?  Funny, but we were much less fragile in those days, and much more verbally dexterous, it seems...  (I think that would get a kid suspended these days, or draw tears from your buddy, if you believe the whole children-are-fragile shtick they are selling today...  I don't buy it myself.  Kids are tougher than you think, and isn't hurling insults and testing your words just a normal part of childhood anymore?  Too many adults micro-monitoring their little worlds, I think.  How will they ever develop prison survival skills without practice on the playground??)

Skip Donahue What are you doing?
Harry Monroe I'm gettin bad. You better get bad, Jack, 'cause if you ain't bad, you're gonna get fucked.
