Another Bright Beautiful Day

When complaints are freely heard, deeply considered and speedily reformed, then is the utmost bound of civil liberty attained that wise men look for.

~ John Milton

A wise man should so write (though in words understood by all men) that wise men only should be able to commend him.  ~ Thomas Hobbes

 * Everyone is tightening their belts, and watching their pennies in anticipation of what is to come. But, if you have extra, and are inclined to give, this young woman's cause seems worthy:

This fundraising is for the funeral cost of my younger brother, Jeremy Her. His passing was due to a hunting accident, you've probably seen it on the news or social medial platform.

On October 9th at 8: 20 am, my little brother was shot right behind his left ear and rushed to the hospital. He was then put on life support because he was pronounced brain-dead upon arrival. The doctor couldn't save his life due to the bullet hitting his spinal cord and causing him to bleed out inside. At 9: 50 pm my parents decided to pull the plug on his life support.

He was 12 years old and only had a few months before he turned 13. He is a happy boy who loved his family and friends and is willing to do anything to make them happy. He's never afraid to try new things and never says no unless he's playing games with his friends. He enjoys fixing bikes and joining my dad in fixing cars in the driveway. He goes to Washington Technology Magnet School and he was a part of the soccer team. 2022 started a bit rough this year for our family as there were many changes but he never let that get to him. He loves eating hot Cheetos and Korean spicy noodles. Now we have to spend the holiday without him and his birthday will be the hardest. We kept hoping that maybe this was a dream and we'll wake up from it all but his presence is missed, we miss his voice and his laughter. He's the middle child and the younger siblings would ask when he's coming home not knowing that he's never coming home. We hope he is happy and safe where ever he is and we hope that he is with god now.
