I pity Ukraine for relying on America to protect their democracy and convincing the people there that it is in their best interests to escalate their civil war and host the world's powers to war over their territorial borders instead of working to improve the quality of life for the people remaining.   Boom, just like that...

Eastern Europe will have to look elsewhere -- maybe to a unified Europe? -- to re-build her energy infrastructure currently being destroyed in what appears to be an escalating... dare we say it?... world war.

If we are transitioning to lithium batteries over oil, it makes sense for countries to WAIT until the lands rich with natural resources have settled their civil wars before encouraging Western businesses from global business firms like Hunter Biden's to start pumping investment dollars in country.

Especially if they're not private capital dollars, but paid for by US taxpayers churning up a civil war that can easily escalate on both "sides".

In comes Iran, out goes America?  Or are we picking a bigger fight here, the neo-cons clinging to power still?

Let's hope wiser minds will prevail in financing America's growing list of foreign conflicts *, for the sake of the Ukrainian civilians like the Afghan civilians who went before them.
