Based on her experience and her instinct

She basically figured out there was more to this story than she was being told...

Hm.

Turns out the 911 dispatcher sent police to the Pelosi home at 2am after she overheard conversation on an open phone line and surmised something had gone wrong there. The two men were allegedly struggling for possession of a hammer when police arrived on a wellness check, alerted by the dispatcher.

The release of the 911 tape will help assuage fears, but the home invasion (how did he get in?) and random hammer attack of an elderly person left home alone are frightening for all. Republicans in this demographic too.

We need to know more details to learn to prevent this. Online sleuths and public pressure for truths can do amazing things when local police resources and investigations are more limited.

God bless the First Responders and hospital workers who kept this elderly man safe and perhaps saved his life.  It's hard as men age especially to deal with their fears of physical vulnerability, especially if they've never experienced that.
