Tell me you have no young people in your life

TikTok can be oddly compelling, but it's never my 1st choice of activity. I use it rarely, when I am too exhausted even to watch television, but have to stay up for some reason, or else when stuck somewhere with a few minutes to kill. I don't get how it's taking over the internet

...without telling me you have no young people in your life. (Remember, the young adults in college mode coming up as junior versions of their parents are not really the young people who will decide the future.  They're more the legacy kids, who will "ride down" the structures that enriched their parents and that we trust will be closely guarded as the children of the non-elites and newcomers shape the country's future.)

Change is coming, and it won't be the leaders in power today -- or those baking in their mold -- who create it.  The talented always rise, and lead -- and the followers will scratch their heads but go along with where the culture leads them...

Same as it ever was.
