Parity.

I like that China is jumping in to support Russia in the American-Russian war in Ukraine.  It might save lives in the long run, and encourage wiser minds to get back to the negotiating tables because nobody is going to win this one using weapons, including nuclear.

Imagine what the territorial boundaries of Israel-Palestine might look like now -- two neighboring countries laboring in peace and investing much less in military technology -- if Iran had been allowed to back Palestine all those years America was arming up Israel and providing her protection.  Think of the lives that might have been saved if only our wisest minds had been more realistic about what military might can achieve, or not.

I can't imagine Americans would look at others and want to live less freely and more hatefully, with our children -- all of them -- mandated to serve the country militarily -- a religious state, at that. always fearing civil unrest in the streets, a weak judiciary that could be undone by nefarious legislators, and continual civil unrest among citizens, and non-citizens, living in our beautiful lands...

Is the American Dream dead? Have we sacrificed up our middle class and dreams of our children living peacefully in an inclusive shared society because we have to hoard up and hide out (and hate) because we fear what we've built and become in pursuing power?  If we follow the ideals our democracy promises, we can live here so much better than that.

And even be world leaders again, instead of merely mimicking those who seem to put all their faith in guns over God now, in military might over wisdom and rights.  Make it a great week, friends.  And haters?  You're never going to win, maybe invest your time and talents in making the world a better place before you leave it?  Nobody gets out of here alive, remember.
