Boomer Angst 2023. "Here Comes the Turn of the Tide..."
We always wondered when this day would come when Boomer culture would be relegated to the background as the numbers in the following generations finally materialized. They're here, they're ready, and they're gonna impose their culture on all those Boomers who dominated for years (and all the younger ones who got systematically rich playing their game...)
Be bigots, hate all you like, but the Future is coming for you too, former dominant ones. You simply had the numbers on your side; that doesn't mean your ways would artificially dominate forever.
Better ideas are here. Brighter minds. Stronger bodies. We'll tolerate you, as you age out and we work to fix this system of privilege for some that you've built up and empowered yourself on. See we can compete: out think you, out write you, out last you, and out live you.
Bob has far longer than his 10 minutes of fame, and he never signed up to be your generational spokesman in the first place... "How Many Roads Must a Man Walk Down..." was a good song tho. Inspirational. But that man came from somewhere and went places.
A lot of the boomers, can we be honest?, just coasted on where their systematically privileged parents parked them, in a time when the white Protestant men were favored, and their children empowered by their own artificial privilege. (You didn't teach us History truthfully always, but we learned to read independently, and we learned things your generation never saw fit to teach us...)
