Don't Look Now But...

It Looks Like the Billion-Dollar CounterOffensive Has Gone Bust.  (and nobody calculated in the costs of "rebuilding" Ukraine after the damn was breached and so many places off of the "front lines" are now flooded, deadly and in disrepair.)  God help them.  More weapons won't.  Send anti-biotics.

Ukraine retakes some villages but its forces face minefields and more airstrikes.

Russia shifts battlefield tactics after mistakes.

Moscow’s forces remain uneven. But while bracing for a counteroffensive, they have improved discipline, coordination and air support, foreshadowing a changing war.

Allies grapple with questions about Ukraine’s postwar reconstruction.

In Rush to Arm Ukraine, Weapons Are Bought but Not Delivered, or Too Broken to Use

Some of the weapons sent to Ukraine by other countries have been unusable, and hundreds of millions of dollars in contracts paid up front have yet to be fulfilled.

* As more and more American political reporters and columnists clump together on the candidate Trump beat, fewer and fewer are cheerleading the war in Ukraine.  That's a good thing, except... nobody much seems to be tracking the US taxpayer billions being spent in weaponry allegedly being sent to "help".

Doesn't the media understand there are people poised to profit off such human conflict (like builders champing on the bit to build substandard housing when regulations finally fall because the NIMBY's have held up addressing America's domestic needs until it's almost too late to avoid what comes from scarcity -- here affordable housing for the workers working in America today.  It's not healthy for the Investment and Leisure class (read Veblen in the original during your spare time, kids ;-) to keep collecting for doing nothing, or worse, and padding their childrens' "inheritances".  Children like, Hunter Biden say.  (Don't you wish somebody had taken a paddle to that child when he was just a boy?)

America will overcome the "elites" at the top taking more than they have earned or deserve.  We just gotta keep calling em out on what we observe, and urging them to do the work they take the money to do.  America's leaky roof isn't going away, and you surely wouldn't want your grandchildren living in a neglected creaky abode one day, because ancestors couldn't get off asses and address the needs today, always planning and fantasizing about the good they are allegedly doing with the taxes they do consent to pay to maintain the America they bought into way back when...

First, get us the hell out of Ukraine and acknowledge who is the Future of America.  It's not these people spending our money overseas today and refusing to address our national security intersests in a healthy and happy, fully functioning middle-class society here at home.  We Need to Rebuild America's Communities not put our housing policies at the hands of unscrupulous contractors the way we have exported our national immigration policies into the hands of coyotes because Congress themselves refuse to address the system of who comes into this country to work and live alongside our working-class today.

By the time the media pulls their head out of their entertainment screens and sees what is occuring in destabilized neighborhoods here, it will be harder to put down the problems without infringing on the civil rights of a lot of Americans who risk being caught up in the crossfire and unable to avoid the strife on the streets.   This isn't the America we are best at building.  We need healthy individuals to speak for the Future, and put America's Leisure Class to pasture as far as planning policies at home.  Nobody is fooled anymore by their promises of expertise and elite knowledge.  The Information Wars have put that Ivy League notion to rest -- it's all about connection and learning the (un)ethical code to clawing your way up;  not about imparting knowledge that has any practical use today in solving national problems...

We See You.  and we see your ways of doing business... taking its toll on your own bodies, and those sharing the country coming up behind you, cleaning up and being paid fix what you're finally willing to admit is well beyond your skill sets in the real world.  We really don't need to import untold numbers across the globe to make your lives easier in old age, really.

This system is creaking, and replacement "new parts" can't always fix things adequately.  Sometimes,  you really do have to get in there and gut a lot of the old to see what you're working with and rebuild the parts that have been systematically neglected and ill maintained by the caretakers over the years.   People need to be taught to care for what they have, to sit down and appreciate with their minds their worlds, and not always need to be up stomping endlessly over grounds not their own trying to meet a need not yet addressed to seek what they still don't have despite having it all...  It's the American way today.  We need to teach their little hearts' contentment, so they stop taking from so many others in their life's journeys that prove so costly to others in the world.
