It's just that in most blue-collar places, they're not going to take Prof. Bruni's advice and elect somebody's wife as helpmeet for a 4-years-behind-the-scenes presidency.  (They'll look away and let him finish out this term, I suspect, understanding that sometimes, practically, it is best just to look away ....  *cough cough Trump mis-handling of files at Mar-a-Lago* ... but no way are people putting Jill Biden in that position out of sympathy, or believing s/he's STILL the best alternative, the message voters were sold in 2020.  It's sad that the Democratic party refused to build the bench:  they should have seen this coming (didn't Joe originally say he's just do one term?) and done the work over these past years to build up choices.  I suspect they thought people would just... "settle".  I don't think so.

Now we've opened this whole can of worms with the social issues, nobody wants to talk about winding down that war we're financing despite the results coming in much like The Great War (a lot of death and destruction over little ground gains), and it's becoming more and more clear that the media is rejecting Donald Trump as a candidate while Americans are rejecting Joe Biden.

I know Ron DeSantis is the most evil of the three**, but sometimes people have to learn the hard way.  Stuck on images, they are.  (That macho macho man thing goes to some heads, I hear.)

**  I think the PC standards have fallen sufficiently that we can note:  He'd be our first dago wop president, huh?  Harvard -- JAG -- FLA Gov. -- President DeSantis?  The media sure seems to want him in, and maybe the Republican establishment too?  DeSantis-Romney (or Cheney, maybe)  Dare to dream of the next-gen Bush comeback?  Lol, everything old is new again, and it looks like we're heading back to a different time in America.   Hang on to your seats!
