Why Not Run Chris Van Hollen as the Democratic Presidential Candidate?

It's about the issues, not the personalities.  Imagine how the media might change the way they report if Americans reject the horse-race coverage and focus on what's most important to American taxpayers/ readers/ thinkers/ voters (hint? It ain't, "Get Trump!"):

"We need to better use our leverage... We have this situation where the Netanyahu government continues to rebuff the President of the United States, time and time again ignores reasonable requests and what do we do?  We say we're going to send more bombs."

"My view is that a partnership needs to be a two-way street, not a one-way blank check with American taxpayer dollars. ... This is about saying... "Hey, WE have requests; don't let people starve to death."...

"There's no doubt that blocking aid into Gaza is a violation of international humanitarian law. ... President Biden rightly said, you can't use humanitarian aid as a bargaining chip."

Biden needs to back that up, but he can't.  His years of slaving away in DC as an establishment politician has him "captured."  Surely we can find people to represent Americans today who are not?  Change is coming to your country, your "industry", to DC too.  Fear not.

You don't have to respect Donald Trump to understand he is riding that wave while the mainstream media and the establishment politicians of both parties are content to keep doing business as they have in the past, not to upset the hands that once fed them so well...

Change will not come from the top down.  It never has. The people in our democracy today are rightly pushing for non-violent acknowledgement that what we have done for decades has not worked.  We'll never make the world safe for Israel, so why not teach our allies how to change their own ways to make for a more liveable world for all of us?

That will not come via gunpoint, nor technological advances that allow us to use drones and bombs to "kill off" our alleged enemies and their children.  Address the underlying grievances because no body can defend American taxpayer money to be used to destroy, then save those harmed by our weapons.  It's absurd and the American people refuse to continue playing these war games "over there" that increasingly come home to haunt us here...

Guns and weapons do not make you stronger or defend your values.  It takes a wise and courageous man to firmly state that and stick with it even in the darkest days...

There's no easy fix for those who refuse to listen to reason, and do the daily work.
