Another Honest Take...
Does everyone understand: the allegedly brave attorney -- yes, yes, former clerk for the late Justice Scalia; superior legal creds, etc. etc. -- who refused to "sign off" on the agreement between the Trump Justice Department and Eric Adams' NYC (another co-worker simply stepped up to perform the dirty deed that needed doing...) and who resigned with great drama/honor/fanfare (choose your adjective or insert your own preferred...) is an expectant mother with a child due in March?

Anyone? Perhaps... she said, with a tug of her chin, perhaps... this might have been the plan all along? Many mothers wish to spend more time with their child; how delightful to "submit your resignation" and also... "stand on principle!" (lol, nevermind every one in the office knew the outcome, resignations proffered or not...)
I'm not saying she was going to become a stay-at-home mother once the child was born and the paid maternity leave/work-from-home allowance(s) were up. But...
I don't think it's more admirable to trumpet "Mom with Child-on-the-Way Sacrifices Her Extraordinary Conservative Legal CAREER to ... Fight Trump!" than to acknowledge she had some excellent timing if she wanted off the full-time, maxx out the hours legal career path that an expectant father/provider might be expected to tow in building an intense, "butts in the seat" office career with the hours you'd expect to put in for the prestige and pay at those levels....
Best of wishes to the future mother and little one. (I think she likely made a good choice, whatever the real reasons... Trump is an influencer, like that. heh!)

Imagine if beyond the "honesty" that "takes" actually mattered? Would the US be better off if it followed the Koch/Uehlein model that WI employs? How is that working out? Maybe being a tool, a dull, rusty tool will not serve the electorate, short-term, mid-term, long-term, or maybe Elon is smort and posts 18 hours a day to prove that?

New York elected Adams as their man. If the will of the voters has changed, let them remove him from office. Political prosecutions will only serve to clog the justice system and distract from the topics reporters should be telling the electorate about. Trump voters want NO MORE WARS and less of our tax billions spent so businessmen can make sweet deals overseas (cough, cough... biden family syndicate.) If that's your party, party on, Wayne! But he is being honest: if Congress will not do their job on immigration, let the Executive branch. PS? Please don't cry any tears over Ms. Sassoon's alleged loss of healthcare. She's an elite, who is certainly not hurting economically. Her child, and future children, will be covered. Herself as well. She works, now, and likely has a husband partnership as well. Their baby will have nothing but the best... Her "work" is non-essential: she can step back and give the child 100% of her time. Pity the poorer worker class who never can afford to reproduce because the elites have cooked the game. do you believe that Mayor Eric Adams, once elected, should be held blameless, not because of the presumed innocence that all accused enjoy, but because upon election, one cannot be held culpable for criminal behavior? (I believe that is in fact, fascism)
But sure, scrape around in a prosecutor's uterus as if that is your business. I have no earthly idea if Eric Adams is innocent or guilty or if a particular prosecutor who resigned at present is host to a fetus. Relevancy?

When I voted to elect a President, my viable options were Harris and Trump, not Musk, not Biden, Hunter or other. Fancy ballot you had, if you chose among all those others.
At no point was I asked to inveigh on the possible corruption of an NYC mayor, since I do not live there, and guilt/innocence is not adjudicated via referenda.
I didn't vote.
I like in a homeless shelter and couldn't "prove my address" in time. The Michigan Palestinian-Americans warned your party: Keep sending billions to Israel to kill children, we can no longer support the Dems. No guilt/innocence of public servants is going to tie up the court system if you choose to play politics there. Let the NYC voters have a say if they like their mayor, not you or I. If he gets corrupt enough, they'll take him out. Ditto the corrupt IL politicians. You prosecute them AFTER they leave office... again, you don't want to tie the courts up with these political games. I get it, I get it... you sympathize with the woman who thought she was just having fun playing dress up in the dressing room all those decades ago when Trump pulled out his dick and wasn't playing. But... if she didn't call it rape for so many years (until he got elected and the Dems saw him as a political risk that MUST. BE. Nancy and Chuck are NEVER going to pass the torch while they can enrich themselves on selling out our country. You might be happy with the status quo. The rest of the country wanted #Change. Hang on, you'll be ok. Pray for the rest of us if you're a praying person. Or curse and laugh if that's your thing, but #Change must and will come. The only thing to believe is that a thoughtful committed group of smart people will do the work needed to bring about the changes America needs. Like with equality in marriage. You think people didn't push for that? It just fell like manna from heaven? If you want it bad enough, push for the #Change you want to see in this world. Raise your sons and daughters to have it better than you did, and quit yer bitching and throw in your part and do the work with us?
