 Why would President Trump send the vice-president's wife into a hostile situation like that?  Charm offensive?  If we want to take Greenland, don't send somebody's wife to take the flak first... That's not very masculine to let the ladies fight your battles for you. What are we? The IDF? 

(and don't tell me she is going as part of a "cultural exchange" or to make nice.  The lady has three small children at home who need daily routines and character development/discipline.  I would agree she has very much shaped the husband's career, even carried him, but this ask is going a bit too far...

Usha should learn to say no, and devote her time to her offspring*, since it appears the couple has committed to his career over hers.  Don't do his work, and face the opposition in Greenland with a smile, Mrs. Vance.  Don't you understand the spot they're putting you in?  Safer to visit Canada, and even then I'd say:  stay home and think of the best interests of your children, and your husband's career, instead of trying to have it all -- do "diplomacy" under fire while scouting out America's alleged future acquisition...

The White House on Sunday announced the high-profile trip, saying Vance ‒ wife of Vice President JD Vance ‒ will travel with her son and a U.S. delegation to visit historical sites, learn about Greenlandic heritage and attend the Avannaata Qimussersu, Greenland’s national dogsled race.

"Ms. Vance and the delegation are excited to witness this monumental race and celebrate Greenlandic culture and unity," the White House said.

* Looks like lil Vivek will be going along too.  A woman and child to scout out the next acquistion.  Mr. Vance's inner venture capitalist is showing, and ... it's not pretty.  Remember how the family was protested at the ski resort in America??  What kind of man would toss his wife and child in as a bargaining chip like this? A fatherless one himself, I guess...
