Speaking of outsider writers...
today Scott Eyman, biographer and Palm Beach Post books critic, tells us the story of Alvin Levin -- or what's known of it, after he mysteriously dropped from the literary scene right when he was starting to ascend the ladder in the dirty 30s, + early 40s.
Ironically, what kept him outside the tent then, is probably made up for in spades in today's publishing world, where demographics would surely welcome not one, but 10 "Love is Like Park Avenue" titles, variations on the theme...
Funny how things go from not enough, perhaps, to overkill. If it weren't so cold outside, I'd be tempted to open the window for a fresh breath.
