"We Did It."
In a 4-2- finals decision, Dallas responded to Miami's pre-season hype.
In this game, performance mattered too, and no finals crown was guaranteed to the Big Three superstars, whose agents surely were winners in inking their deals last summer: "Yes We Did."
On the court though, in the end, the King was shown up, once again, as a pretender to the throne...
Herr Nowitzki -- Dallas' star -- wasn't so much the decisive factor either, as time-tested veterans Terry, Kidd and Barea, known more for their solidity and consistency than their flashy play, came together in a performance piece of defense, turnovers and getting it done on the line. Oh, and some pretty three-pointers too.
Point is, Mark was surely the happiest Cuban American in Miami last night. And you can't really make this a victory of little guys over money, because hey, he's loaded too.
Still, the Heat bowed out in 6.
Merit still matters over pre-ordained money picks...
Says something today, a ray of hope, when it's too easy to believe the fix is in.

In other news,
the Association to Artificially Empower Women (AAEW) boycotted this testosterone-fest for not including any women in the game. They demand parity in numbers, regardless of qualifications or commitment, and won't rest until those women/mothers who want in the game are accomodated for their dual motherhood career needs.
News at 10.
