Iran v. Saudi Arabia.

I know whose side I would be on here -- Iran's.
They are furious that one of their religious leaders has been killed, for his words.

I don't think Iran is all that backwards a country as the American press wants to paint them*, on behalf of Israel.   Not as backwards as the Saudis, who through it all, we call our friends...  Why?  ($$$)

I do know who should not take sides here = America.

Sadly, our homegrown spinmeisters are already stirring the pot.

Wisconsin law professor Ann Althouse is quoting Biblical scripture, this morning...  she seems to be trying to determine which side GOD is on...

Ann Althouse said...
"Besides, two wrongs don't make a right, they do though make us even."

Genesis 4 has God saying that whoever kills Cain in revenge for the murder of Abel will be punished 7 times as much as Cain. God's math class is a bitch. Thinking you know the subject could be the best way to get the worst grade. "Vengeance is mine, I will repay." He's going to repay on His own terms. You think you know what's your due?

Sad, Ann.
Very sad, for a learned woman.

She should stop pretending to be Christian (or Jewish) and come out as an atheist already.  I wanna see you be brave, professor, and not just giggle and hint and run.... Stop playing with other people's sacred texts.  You sound silly, not like the rebellious teen girl you think, "God's math class is a bitch."  Grow up, professor?

You should stop publicly revealing yourself until you are out of the classroom of diverse students, whose views uniformly deserve respect, not giggles and  mockery.

*  I remember 1979 and the hostages, sure, but then I grew up and learned how long America meddled in Iran's business, before we took in the Shah, who was serving our interests there, until one day, he wasn't and needed protecting...
