Gee, I Wonder Why his Dog Died...

What I miss most since our dog died is not having him clean up the food I drop. Such a chore to lean over for peanuts and potato chips.

They're animals*, people.  

Feed and run them as such 

if you want them to live.  

They're not human toys, really.
(Don't feed them "people food".)

* as are we.  That's not an insult either.

It's just understanding how life works.

The sap in the trees is running, and
you better have your icehouses off the lakes.
The dogs will soon enough be lapping it up,
and not licking at the snow for a drink, when out.
