Officers arrest man they interrupted breaking 80 windows at Northwest Side school, cops say

A Norwood Park-area man faces felony charges after police say he broke dozens of windows in a school around the corner from his home early Wednesday.
Michael T. Mangan, 36, was arrested about 1:40 a.m. in the 4800 block of North Nashville Avenue, the block where he lives, after officers interrupted him breaking windows with a golf club at a building in the 6400 block of West Strong Street, according to a news release.
At an afternoon hearing Wednesday, Cook County Judge Susana Ortiz released Mangan on a personal recognizance bond with electronic monitoring, according to court records. He was scheduled to appear at the Skokie Courthouse next Wednesday.
