Why I Don't Waste My Time Watching Jeopardy...

At about 90,000, it's the most populous U.S. city on America's biggest lake...

Duluth!  Big port city, helped us win WWII, the taconite that was shipped to ports south to produce the American steel needed to supply the soldiers.  American manufacturing capability won that war, but we're so busy teaching WWII as the Anne Frank story today, students miss a lot of U.S. history...

Geography too.

The contestants, two from the Coasts, none from the Midwest, guess that "the most populous U.S. city on America's biggest lake" is...

Green Bay (Wisconsin)

Minneapolis (on the Mississippi River, not a Great Lake)

and Green Bay again.

* Trivia note about Duluth:  Gore Vidal even penned a satire about the city but it was nothing like his "hometown" region novel Washington DC, which was readable.
