A New Kitten.

So I was over in Wisconsin, picking up my HHR after having exhaust work done last week.  Mal and I were coordinating cars at the park-n-ride.  A little kitten comes up looking for attention... Blind, crusty eyes.  Oh no.  The vet in his town was closing, but the one over here was open.

Antibiotics and eye drops and it's sitting here purring now in my lap.  I don't need a kitten, I'm not really a nurturer, but I got her to open her mouth to use the syringe to get the first dose of antibiotics down...

And the eyedrops when in.  It's pitiful. No way this animal can see. They weren't even sure at first if it had an eyeball on the one side... so pink.  I hope it can see.  I lost vision in one ey emyself last summer -- blurry to the point of not making out images, because of a "white" cataract in one eye and blurriness like Monet's impressionism in the other.

Both corrected now, two surgeries/procedures, with implanted lenses out-of-pocket.  I can see again!  It really is a miracle.  Oh, they asked for a name at the vet place, so I named her Leigh.  Pretty name. Not sure if she's staying, but I can take care of her long enough to help her get the sight back, I think.
