Getting Closer They Are
The people saying the world needs a negotiated settlement to the war are correct, but you've got to direct more of that energy in the direction of the country that's actually the key actor here.

Good admission, Matt.
Now consider: how will the United States taxpayers apply pressure to Zelensky to get him to accept that the US will not be funding his fight forever: that he's got to make due with the billions in weaponry provided, and use that to drive back the Russians and maintain secure borders. If he doesn't want to be realistic -- and he thinks the Biden administration will be in power long with today's Congress to keep cutting him checks, then he should be talked down.
Without America's weapons, Matt. this "war" ended long ago. Another civil war skirmish in a country not our own. Stop pounding your Harvard war chest and understand that the American people -- despite your flimsy polls -- do not suppport bleeding out our own country financially to fight this fight, to take out Putin, or to arm the world.
If you guys want to privately finance money to the rebs -- like some Americans supported the IRA in trying to liberate their homeland, go to it. But trust me when I tell you, getting the Ukranians addicted to the American teat only to take it away in short time is not helping the rest of the world where we pull that trick...
Neocons? Stand down. Study your books, you don't understand who's not supporting this "fight". The kids are not going to passively go along with this war, and let your spend their futures on guns and false defense.
