How Great Thou Art.

 I went to Church today, and left with my spirit renewed. I tell you, the killing of the homeless man was weighing on me -- the idea that we would call such behavior "protective" or even endorse ways of helping like that... The military mindset has got us in this  country.

But worshipping with others was uplifting.  Washington County is a diverse place and our pews reflect that.  They sent us out singing How Great Thou Art.  I might go back for the 11am Mass too, just to sing that one in good company again.

We really need to curtail our arrogance in America, and realize that nobody wins in days of division and inequality.  This isn't fair anymore. Some people don't really have a fighting chance.
