Mayor declares state of emergency over migrants arriving in Chicago

The executive order, signed less than a week before Chicago Mayor Lori Lightfoot is set to leave office on Monday, authorizes the mayor’s administration to move emergency funds and request the aid of the Illinois National Guard.
