Today in the NYT

David Brooks pines for the days of yesteryear when Baseball was America's sport, when men could still meet their wives at the office and the boss-secretary match was a norm, and when queer people Did. Not. Present. (costumed or otherwise) in public, nevermind serving their communities openly...

Those days are gone forever, David.  We should just let 'em go...

This country will still stand strong, even after the boys of summer have gone.  You see it takes all kinds to see us through all the seasons in this country.  Open your eyes and accept the natural diversity that America is, and don't be afraid for the Future, David.

There's a place for you too.  For all of us, everyone under the sun.
