With Israel, It’s Time to Start Discussing the Unmentionable

Does it make sense for the United States to provide $3.8 billion annually to another rich country, indefinitely?

Not if the G_d of their religious settlers keeps calling the shots and not the men G_d entrusted to people his lands of peace and promote everlasting peace in his name. G_d doesn't want us to burn up this planet in his name, or kill our way to a "win" in this world.  Why do some of his children have to learn everything the hard way and practice what's in their own best interests only after He teaches hard lessons in Life they seem to insist on to move forward.

Hard lessons that cost innocents their lives because while He gave us the tools, the jobs of mastering and manning them effectively on Earth fall to us men.  Our leaders of late have failed us, providing too often only for their own, while so much work is left undone outside the gates...

That's no prescription for peace:  the mission is to make the world a better place for all peoples, not to retreat and huddle, worshipping weaponry as the untimate protector from faith in reason and one another....

* We need to ditch the leaders that have us wandering in circles, grabbing more than we can carry for our daily bread that ultimately spoils.  If we are to advance to a better world, we need to drop a lot of weight in weaponry and learn to rely -- and trust -- the Human spirit crafted by a Creator much wiser than the ones here creating the new pathways and professions our technological world is experimenting with today under the guise of immortality.

We Humans are something else, but we need to remember there is always something bigger uniting our lives... It doesn't matter in life what gods you recognize or serve, but God help you if haven't grown yet to see the world beyond yourself and your own... 

For none of us today, except for the savage and the brute, can claim the innocence of the Garden: that we don't know what lies behind the walls. We don't have to evangelize*, but we have the Knowledge and can't claim ignorance, God knows.  He built us this way.
