American Will Be Choosing a Wartime President: Someone Strong as the War Expands Worldwide

All the old neocons in power are pushing for this.  The Cold War and peacetime don't sell weapons, and the Defense Industry is the big moneymaker out east.... But we have an alleged crisis of masculinity in young American men coming up, the same warrior-pundit-presidential-wannabe's tell us. None of the politicians' daughters will be expected to fight, nor the rich men's sons.  The workers who are paying taxes are paying for this escalation, but the American people want to invest in America, not fighting another World War.

Russian forces launched waves of missiles and attack drones at Odesa overnight, Ukrainian officials said early Monday, the latest strikes on the southern port city amid heightened tensions in the Black Sea.

The attacks on Odesa came hours after Russia’s Defense Ministry on Sunday claimed that one of its patrol ships in the Black Sea had fired warning shots at a cargo vessel that had failed to stop for inspection.

It said that the cargo ship stopped after the “warning fire” and that Russian servicemen boarded to carry out an inspection, then allowed the vessel to continue its journey to the Ukrainian port of Izmail on the Danube River.

The defense ministry’s claims could not be independently verified, but the Ukrainian Ministry of Foreign Affairs condemned what it called Russia’s “provocative actions,” without providing details of the incident.
