A Call to Action.

One way or another...

JERUSALEM — Protests over the killing of an Arab teenager spread to new parts of Israel early Saturday as reports emerged that he was burned alive after being abducted from his East Jerusalem neighborhood on Wednesday.
...
On Monday, soldiers discovered the bodies of three Israeli teens who had been missing for more than two weeks. Then, on Wednesday, the badly burned remains of 16-year-old Mohammad Abu Khieder were found in a forest.
...
On Saturday, Palestinian news services quoted Palestinian Attorney General Abdelghani al-Owaiwi as saying that a preliminary autopsy had discovered soot in the teen’s lungs, indicating he was still alive when he was burned. The autopsy also revealed evidence of a head wound, but the fire caused his death, Owaiwi said.

The teen’s father, Hussein Abu Khieder, said Saturday he has not yet seen the autopsy report and had not received any information from the police regarding possible suspects.
...
The killing of Khieder “took place during a delicate situation, but I do believe it will not escalate much more than what we see today,” said Giora Eiland, former head of Israel’s National Security Council.
...
Police spokesman Micky Rosenfeld said Saturday that 20 people had been arrested in the Jerusalem clashes and 12 others were detained in the north. By midday Saturday, the demonstrations had ended, at least temporarily.
It took Israeli authorities two weeks to find the kidnapped Jewish youths, despite the largest hunt in decades and heavy-handed door-to-door tactics in the West Bank that resulted in additional killings.

They have an autopsy now, and video surveillance of the vehicle and terrorists who kidnapped the Arab child. Israel is supposed to be tops with technology and surveillance. How long will it take, do you suppose, for them to make an arrest in this child's death?

Will the homes of the once-identified suspects be bulldozed, to encourage their family members to inform on their whereabouts the morning the Arab boy went missing? Surely someone knows something...

Israel surely hopes this will... blow over. But this death will not be disappeared. This is not a PLO leader like Yasser Arafat, which the international community strongly suspects was poisoned by Israel. This is a child.

This child's death demands justice.
It's not just the poor Palestinians now.

The whole world is watching: how do Jews in Israel do justice, when their own go bad? The dead boy's father is not hopeful for "justice": he is a Palestinian, he has seen too much to believe in words.

What kind of monsters -- I don't think they will be able to live with themselves long... -- burn a non-involved child alive, to avenge the deaths of their own? How long will it take for Israel to ideantify and bring the suspects to justice?

Giora Eiland, former head of Israel’s National Security Council, thinks peace will come without justice. That he can talk the crime away, because it "took place during a delicate situation, but I do believe it will not escalate much more than what we see today".

I hope otherwise.
No justice, no peace.
If the boys want to fight, you better let them...

I think it is about time the Jews learn to live with their neighbors, one way or another. Enough words. A Call to Action, one way or another... if we're too lazy to try honest diplomacy, let Israel kill her way to victory then, one charred teenager at a time. But not on the American taxpayer's dime.

Maybe tricking your way into a biblical birthright isn't all that great of a foundation on which to build a nation afterall... (Oh, and if you get a gift of land from the Brits, for heavens sake, always check the title!)
