Better to Die on your Feet than Live on your Knees.

Like Drew Brees, I myself would never kneel for the voluntary surrender of my country as represented by her flag.  That banner represents us all, our peaceful places and our ugly history.

If you want to kneel in surrender, you are welcome to do so.  But not often at work, and not often encouraging other Americans to surrender and kneel alongside you. I kneel to my God. That's it.
In Atlanta and other cities, police officers knelt with protesters during some of the protests against the killing of George Floyd.

Some of us simply won't.
I suspect, we are indeed the quiet majority.

Also?  I wouldn't put my hands up in surrender, or encourage others to do so either, if a person is running for their life out of a school or work building that a gunman has just shot up.  If they want to take me out because MY hands aren't up, so be it.  But again, I refuse to surrender to this anti-social nonsense.

Fighters do not die on their knees, or with their hands up, in voluntary surrender.   It seems like only the weak in society do that, and encourage crowds to follow...
