Biden Completes Obama's Election Mandate of Withdrawing Troops

 Almost eight years in, Americans understood Afghanistan. We wanted out.  With no daylight ahead, and the economy reeling from these unplanned war bills, American voters collectively sent the the Bushies packing...

"Give us time, give us time!" the military barnacles bleated. "We can train the Afghan army to defend itself against Taliban." In reality, a flood of American money protected corrupt politicians and warlords, who practiced non-Islamic traditions, to the dismay of the Taliban.  The U.S. military leaders teased the Democrats into giving them more and more time, and more and more power in the region, by ignoring the American voters.

Do you remember why we elected Barack Obama? I do.

He successfully sold himself as a thinker:  one of the few US Senators at the time who foresaw, and was not swayed, by performances from Colin Powell and Dick Cheney, to name a few, the late Donald Rumsfeld and Condi Rice, and the boss of it all George W. Bush, whose campaign for president was pushed the final mile through the US Supreme Court after a contested election...

Nevermind the Trump administration.  Read the books on the early political years in this century, if you're not already in the know...

God Bless Joe Biden today, and in the coming days...  He is completing the job that America elected Barack Obama and him to do in 2008 -- back in the git 'er done days -- in exiting us out of Afghanistan.  Sadly, Team Obama quickly got sucked into Washington ways and Sec. Hillary Clinton, it seems, and her crew of female leaders took charge -- woefully -- of Obama's Middle East foreign policy.*

Don't blame Biden.

This was always the Goerge W. Bush Jr. mess he'd gotten us into post 9-11, abetted by some of the same Congressional Democrats still in power today.

* Barack tried. (to the tune of "Mama Tried".)  But the world was just not ready for Sec. of Defense Chuck Hagel, back when the Clinton team still held so much worldwide control, Promised it anyway.   Times change.  Left and right today would ignite in pandemic times, I suspect, if you tried to sell them on another foreign war any time soon...  America is finally listening to her people on the lack of will for war, not through Congress as the Constitution intended, but through Slow Joe...

Whatever. 

He's not to blame for ending the ill-defined, never-ending Bush-Cheney wars anymore than Donald Trump is to blame for the coronavirus-style warfare currently jolting the economy, demographics and domestic unity here at home.  Hopefully Joe's gonna get us out of that war too before he leaves office.
