And he smelled as good as he looked. Soft curls too.  Naturally.  Always hated that perfume smell when he came home from the groomers.  Sure, bathe them if they stink and roll in something, but don't perfume your pets, people. That soap is bad for their aging eyes, and if we only realized how short a time we have them... we'd be kinder.
