Putin and MBS Are Laughing at Us

Stupid people escalate wars over ego.  Let's end this one -- stop funding the weapons requests -- and help end the sufferings of innocent civilians.  Why should innocent people pay because our world leaders are so stupid today that the only way they can think to settle border disputes is with the heavy firepower?

Laugh away, but work to end the wartime killings today if we want to live in peaceable societies at home.  Violence in civil society always increases in wartime.  If justify the use of force -- make it lawful and acceptable to reward violence and destruction, then those values follow us home.

As for me and  mine? We serve a more peaceful lord.  Good luck to you and yours in America.  We really should have gone with what brung us here... it's not justifying war deaths by continually imposing violence on the world to justify our own survival.  No, that's not it at all...

Back to the Book, for the humble at heart and those wise in the head.  We all know this:  wars must have well-defined objectives, and be achievable in a short timeline with the weapons at hand.  If you can't explain to your people the goals and gameplan, and the estimate of time and costs, then you really do not have your wisest minds in charge of your foreign policy, and your mistakes are likely to kill our own innocents if we stay on this path.

Please don't be surprised and say we weren't warned.  Violence begets violence begets violence begets violence begets violence begets violence. The only way to win this game is to break that cycle.  Onward Christian soldiers then...

Peace be with you and yours this Friday.  Work for justice in all ways if you want to know eternal peace in your own homes and homelands.  The innocents will bless you for it, ten times over and the children may know peace one day too.  That's true wealth you can bank on, my friends.

Ninety Years Ago, This Book Tried to Warn Us

Look ahead, and talk about what is coming for the people of today in your editorial news pages.  The past is dead and buried.  Let's not do that to the future too?  Pay attention, now, to what is happening in your shared country currently.  These divisions are ripping us apart, and painting "one side" as evil because voters insist our elected representatives take action in addressing America's domestic needs is simply another show of elite power -- ignoring  the need at home to allegedly liberate the world.  Fantasy fiction vs. hard news still being written...  I know what I read today.

And please, let's not be in denial?  The U.S. already is at war with Russia, a proxy war being conducted in Ukraine.  No wonder Europe feels threatened.  Americans are not fooled just because the lives of no U.S. service members currently are being risked to fight for Ukraine.  We are at war over there, an undeclared war, but without us and our guns and money, this one ended back in April with a lot more Ukrainians alive, and much more of the country left standing.  It's October already:  I heard on a "podcast" one man opining that this war will go on now for months, years...

Ok, but the American voters will not continue approving the wealth transfer of taxpayer dollars needed here at home to finance destroying Ukraine, and killing off even more people, for Western business interests that want to depose Mr. Putin and push Russia back as our economic interests in that region grow and new markets are cleared in the advance of Western business interests.

If it really were about the freedom and lives of the people on the ground, this war would have ended months ago...  But the West has growing consumer needs for natural resources as we transition from oil to battery power, so we fight on.  Not in our name, of course.  That makes fools feel better, they must think...
