My Grey Baby

She got brushed off -- I use a clean ragmop, really -- before I came back up to shoot photos. Work before play.  I ended up driving in -- the red one, more saltworthy... and the road was nice.  Our plow truck convoys do great work. The streets were fine... the lot? It's ice under there, so even pulling into the spot after work tonight was iffy... Wheels spin if you don't hit it right.

The store closed early at 6pm, pharmacy too.  Lots of upset people in those final minutes before we closed the doors, as pharmacy shut down minutes before us.  I kind of have to agree with one woman:  if you're going to close early (ostensibly because of the weather -- more snow tonight -- but really: a shortage of staff; too many calling out), then why send an email at 3pm telling you the prescription is ready, and the store is open until 8pm?  There's no control anymore if that's what's programmed into the computer, it seems, because I knew at  10am the store was closing tonight at 6.  Makes no sense...
All is calm now, quiet enough too, and I expect as the temps drop in days to come, we'll see days of brightness too.  Skin color is gone, no pallor here -- battling a cold, or something more sinister... but truth is my body has never felt stronger. Go figure.

ADDED: I spoke too soon.  I can hear somebody spinning their tires hard out there now, going on a few minutes.  No buddy, you got to get out, and tromp some snow, spread some cat litter or sand or something, just ... get traction.  The more you spin those tires, the worse for the car and the less likely you will find a grip.  Spinning your wheels makes no sense at all.
