"Why are American flags in Minnesota at half-staff the past few days?"

FARGO, N.D. (Valley News Live) - Flags in North Dakota and Minnesota are flying at half-staff, to honor the lives lost in the Monterey Park, California mass shooting on Saturday. The orders cover flags at all government buildings to fly half staff until sunset on Thursday, January 26th. Both Governors are encouraging all individuals, businesses, and other organizations to join in lowering their flags.

We have many Asian immigrants living here now.  The saddest thing is: the numbers of people killed by gunfire in Chicagoland alone this month is greater than those killed in the two mass shootings in California.  We can't honor every gun death:  the flags in America would never be all the way up the pole again... #KillingDoesn'tFixThings  #WarsThere,GunDeathsHere:SameAsItEverWas #Lord,There'sGotToBeABetterWay... #WhatRWeTeachingPeopleAboutEmpowermentReally?Weapons=Strength?No,Just...No.
