Children are Dying in America's Wars Here at Home

Three people are dead and three more wounded after a Sunday night expressway shooting on Chicago’s Interstate 57, authorities say. Several children are among the victims, including a 1-year-old girl and a 13-year-old boy killed, and a 14-year-old boy hospitalized with serious injuries. The shots broke out in the northbound lane of I-57 near 111th Street in the Morgan Park neighborhood at 10:37 p.m., Illinois State Police said. The targeted vehicle pulled over at an expressway ramp.
