Stop Spinning the Jordan Neely Killing.
Here's one takeaway:
Have New York City policemen run a background check on every emergency situation for which they are called. If there is an outstanding warrant, make an arrest and put the person back before a Court of Law.
Jordan Neely was given a second chance by he courts that he failed to take advantage of. A warrrant was out for his arrest, and still public servants taking money from taxpayers had "encounters" with him within the system allegedly while the arrest warrant was out.
Don't choke out the people who have not assaulted you and call yourself a hero.
Don't try to get the public on the side of the blonde Marine looking for adventures to fulfill himself who misjudged a threat and initiated physical violence, according to media reports.
Hold the men and women who take taxpayer money to serve the State accountable for the jobs they are doing. Or not. (Why wasn't Jordan Neely being cut checks directly instead of all the people being paid to help him live more comfortably and peaceably? How much does 3 meals a day and roof over your head really cost in America today? Why can't a worker or person on government disability manage that? Ask the hard questions if you want Change. Nobody gets to choke others out, without defending their actions in a Court of Law. You kill someone pre-emptively?; it's gonna cost you. America is belatedly learning its lessons. We're all in this together. And violence and force only brings more dead people.)
