Oof, Seriously?

This isn't really like promising Mexico will pay for the Wall if the assets are frozen. But, whose assets are they and will this come back to bite the American people in the ass?

The U.K. moves to use frozen Russian assets to help Ukraine rebuild.

The government’s announcement follows a pledge made by Group of 7 nations at their annual gathering last month to freeze Russian assets until Moscow pays for the damage done in Ukraine.

Funny how America is still working out our administrative forfeiture processes for seized assets here at home.  Working out the bugs in the system when the asset seizures are unjust.

* To point out the obvious: this is of America's interest because our defense industry is supplying much of the weapons that are destroying the properties that the UK is proposing to seize the assets for to rebuild basic infrustructure, before Western businesses can safely enter and ... do business.  This appears to be why NATO is not keen on admitting Ukraine now:  the corruption in foreign business practices will need to be cleaned up to before corporations can set up a reliable framework to legitimately deal.
