Oof. Sitting ducks indeed.
As Ukrainian rescue workers were racing to pull people from the floods in Kherson on Tuesday, Russian forces launched some 70 attacks on the city, the head of the regional military administration, Oleksandr Prokudin, said on Wednesday.
It's the civilians who always pay the greatest price in wartime (think of the elderly, the pregnant, the children), while the Pentagon planners and the enlisted soldiers of whatever country we're supporting at least collect a paycheck, on a mealplan, for their work.
I wonder if everybody who was so gung-ho to watch the Ukranian offensive earlier in the week still have their eyes glued to the screen? That's the reality of war you're choosing now to look away from. It really ain't all shock and awe and GloryDays making ya American hearts beat strong again, pretending we are "helping" women and children with our tools of destruction (that aren't being tracked, I might add...)
