Actually, nevermind that post below.  Turns out, there's no crime letting wealthy people buy you things when you're a political player... Remember who bought the Obama family home in Chicago for them, and the lot next door too?

Them's just the rewards of playing the game.  You get connected enough to rich people in political circles, EVERYthing gets comped.  You never have to open your wallet again.  Your kids either.  People just... give you things.  Cuz you're nice and polite and don't ask any questions, and go along to get along like that. 

Maybe put your dad on the phone to say a kind word?

Everybody does it.  You're kinda a fool if you're working hard and living off what you earn these days.  You'll never get anywhere playing by those rules.  It's don't take an Ivy League degree to know that if you want to be Elite, you have to give... and take.  (The takings important, cuz then they know you're a team player, going along to getting along and all.  Hell you could be a waitress, nttawwt, but if you learn to properly ... serve, and give the table what they want, you're gonna get bigger "tips".)

It doesn't matter what you know, it's who you know in America, right?  Lol.
