Jonah Goldberg Join Maureen Dowd in ... "Weighing In"

I get the criticisms of the new indictments. I don’t agree with some. Still noodling others. But the facts laid out are so transparently clear: Trump is profoundly unfit for the presidency, regardless of whether he’s criminally liable for the events of Jan 6. 

Goldberg, of course, is best know as the son of Lucianne Goldberg -- a famed DC reporter famous for her role in outing the Clinton-Lewinsky affair.

Her son attended a newly desegregated women's college -- Goucher, with no advanced degree.  David Brooks described his career in a recent article about the alleged "meritocratic class":  Golberg "got in" based on parental connections, was paid to spill words at conservative outlets until the Bush/Cheney war years eventually caught up to that crowd and they were exposed as "no nothings."

Many of them, like Goldberg, broke for "independent publications" -- ie/ privately financed newsletters where subscribers determine the content.  In context:  the paid donors have purchased the platform their experts opine on.  It's all paid-for copy, supplement by doggie pictures, and Jonah's bi-annual trips cross country to drop his daughter at college in Cali, and visit his wife's people in Alaska.

He might mingle with people in campgrounds across the country, but Jonah too is DC born and bred, like Maureen, their whole lives sheltered in the bubble.  He gets a vote, she gets a vote. But so do all the workers in all the other states.

DC doesn't really seem concerned with the issues the nation is facing.  They want to run the world from Dc, but on our dollars.

It's not happening.  The real scandal is how insulated and cocoooned the New Media has become because they have shut out any contrary voices to what they are being paid to report.  If everybody who doesn't agree with you is an eegit (that Gaelic too, Maureen! work it into your next column? Foreign words make you look smart, huh? ;-) or a bigot or a racist hater/white supremacist because we agree with the Court that discrimination is not cool in this day and age, or that attacking Russia with US weapons is gonna put us in a defensive crouch one day ourselves (for real!)), then you aren't grabbling with real feedback from voters who oppose the ongoing Trump witchhunts and fear for the country, whether Joe Biden or RonDeSantis or a player to be named later takes office next.

Too long the Dowds and Goldbergs have been telling us what they see in DC.  Now they need people in DC telling them what is happening in their country.  Donald Trump didn't start this fire, and the nation's problems won't disappear with him either...

1)  Immigration

2)  Military

3)  Economic Equality/Equity

(let's dance, let's shout, shake your body down to the ground... Party like it's 1999 still, DC?  No.  We coming to lead ya out of the mess you've given us. No fear, ladies and ladies-college men. ;-)
