Proverbs, Song of Songs, Ecclesiastes

-----------------
David Brooks is a false prophet, twisting Scripture for his own desires. Follow him at your own peril. Read rather 1 Corinthians 7, particularly 7-11:
7 I wish that all men were as I am. But each man has his own gift from God; one has this gift, another has that.
8 Now to the unmarried and the widows I say: It is good for them to stay unmarried, as I am.
9 But if they cannot control themselves, they should marry, for it is better to marry than to burn with passion.
10 To the married I give this command (not I, but the Lord): A wife must not separate from her husband.
11
But if she does, she must remain unmarried or else be reconciled to her husband. And a husband must not divorce his wife.
------------------ I am glad to use my gifts in service of my Lord, not another via marriage. God tells us, One Size Does Not Fit All. Listen to your heart, where He speaks. For some of us, time to read and serve Him is more important than earthy pleasures and worldly gains. Mr. Brooks, bless his heart, thinks he has all the answers, and surely he does -- for himself and his household(s). But God has bigger plans for some of us, and we cannot be denied. "Though Him, all things are possible." I wish Mr. Brooks and his wife well, but perhaps they should be listening and learning, reading more, and discerning God's call for their own lives, instead of doing the Lords's work in instructing others. (He also said, "Be Fruitful and Multiply" to married persons, which is why many of us do not marry.)
