American strategists say Ukraine’s troops are too spread out and need to concentrate along the counteroffensive’s main front in the south.

6 MIN READ

How long until we have to send American troops in, after our military advisers who already have boots on the ground, training up another nation's forces to defeat Russia?  Decades the neo-cons are telling us the Americans will be needed to protect Ukraine... I think if American business interests want to work in Ukraine, they should negotiate their way in, and/or privately work with Ukrainians to gain control of the most valuable regions.  Demographics tell me, the younger generations of Americans will not tolerate following the old ones into another quagmire, like VietNam and Iraq.

Just Say No.

----------------------------

* I think the Ukranians want to live in a free country, not die for it.  That's why the plea for long-range weapons systems comes in...  Would YOU volunteer to march through minefields*, even if you really really loved your country and there was no guarantee sacrificing yourselves to "clear the way" would bring certain victory?  Come on, old military guys.  Get in there and show em how it's done... Sooner or later, Zelensky is going to have to stop collecting resources, and actually fight:

American planners have advised Ukraine to concentrate on the front driving toward Melitopol, Kyiv’s top priority, and on punching through Russian minefields and other defenses, even if the Ukrainians lose more soldiers and equipment in the process.

* That's a dog's job.  We don't think of the Ukrainian soldiers as dogs... do we?  Fighting Russia on our dime, but nothing to show for it?  "Lord, there's got to be a better way... Tell me, who are you?" to advise another nation's military how to fight their own battles?

You kinda knew it was over for Iraq when their soldiers could not even pull down a statue of Saddam, without the U.S. military stepping in... or at least, I did.  What does that tell you about the collective native strength to topple an actual leader?  (Nobody in power thinks like a warrior anymore, if they ever did.)

** America really doesn't have a good track record in these military excursions, and many of the people in the Pentagon remain in power, I think.  Nothing has been learned.  #GetOutStayOut #NotInMyName
