I love this humor. (I love Lily Tomlin.) This is how you do Age Humor, acknowledging but demonstrating that not all elders are created alike.  If you funny, you funny.  

That torch is gonna be passed.  Nobody is gonna get their hands burnt if we practice passing it, like a baton.  You gotta practice a lot, be totally in step, to drop time during the transfer, make it so seamless you pick up a step or two on your opponents...
