Heh! We see you too...

 Onstage, Mr. Springsteen, whose working class anthems made him rich, revealed that he’d never been inside a factory. It’s an easy thing to admit to people who paid up to $850 for a seat. They’d assumed the factory thing was a metaphor anyway.

"... and I don't want to be like you." Not the factory worker, the hypocrites worshipping at the working-class-hero's feet.  Lolol. 

They can't even see who they are today, caught up in this system that overwhelms all else for the pursuit of success, narrowly defined and failing them still.
