Halftime numbers paint a horror story for Wisconsin
Northwestern came into the game averaging less than 100 yards on the ground and 292.1 yards of total offense per game. They've surpassed both totals in the first half, with 294 total yards and 125 rushing yards.
Kettle Moraine High School graduate David Braun is well on his way to becoming the second Wisconsin native head coach (Jake Dickert of Washington State) to beat UW this season.
UW's total yardage deficit is 294-145. Northwestern owns time of possession, 19 minutes to 10. And of course, the eye-popping stat of the day is Northwestern converting 10 of 11 third downs (and the only miss played into a field goal). Wisconsin, by comparison is 2 of 7.
