If You Love Me, Keep My Word.

Bear witness to what peeks out in the stifled news coverage of life and death in Gaza these days.

William Schomburg, the leader of the Red Cross operation in Gaza, in a statement. “We are here to bring urgent assistance to civilians in need. Ensuring that vital aid can reach medical facilities is a legal obligation under international humanitarian law.”
“I can’t emphasize enough how crucial it is that hospitals, medical personnel and patients are protected amid this violence,” Mr. Schomburg said in the statement. “There are thousands of critically injured people in Gaza. It is an obligation under international humanitarian law to spare them from harm.”

Humanitarian aid began to trickle in on Oct. 21, when the first supplies were allowed to pass through the Egyptian-run border crossing in southern Gaza. But those supplies have not been enough to address the vast scale of human suffering in the Gaza Strip, which the United Nations has described as “catastrophic.”

Doctors and nurses and orderlies are the heroes always. on all sides everywhere. Babies are born, old folks grow weak... disease spreads in close quarters. Nevermind the offenses, people need medical care in everyday life, we know that. Love them -- others, as we love ourselves. Let the food and medical supplies in for the love of God. Plant a seed of kindness in an evil world. If not now, when?
