This is How It Is Done, America

Israel is not above criticism.  We need leaders in this country who aren't afraid to say that or risk losing their lives or livelioods. The Gay "resignation" from Harvard doesn't help.

The best thing America could do to help Israel today is to criticize Netanyahu and refuse to continue funding his massacres.  The Gazan people aren't going anywhere.  Somebody is going to have to confront and contain the Israeli religious settlers, sooner rather than later as they continuing breaking the law:

Officials from France and Germany have joined the United States in denouncing recent comments by two far-right Israel ministers suggesting that Palestinian civilians should voluntarily leaeve Gaza and that Israeli settlements could return there, stressing that a two-state solution was the only path forward in the region.  “There must be no expulsion of Palestinians from Gaza, nor must there be any territorial reduction of the Gaza Strip,” said Sebastian Fischer, a spokesman for the German foreign ministry, during a government news conference on Wednesday. He said the two-state solution remained the “the only sustainable model for peaceful coexistence between Israelis and Palestinians.”  And in a phone call on Tuesday with Benny Gantz, a member of Israel’s war cabinet, President Emmanuel Macron of France told him that “statements about the forced displacement of Gazans were unacceptable and contradicted the two-state solution, which is the only viable way to return to peace and security for all,” according to a statement from Mr. Macron’s office. ...

The French and German criticism came after two far-right officials in the government of the Israeli prime minister, Benjamin Netanyahu — Itamar Ben-Gvir, the national security minister, and Bezalel Smotrich, the finance minister — said separately on Monday that the “correct” solution to the war would involve Palestinians resettling outside of Gaza while Israel maintains control of the enclave through Jewish resettlements. Both men reside in West Bank settlements, which are considered illegal by the United States, France, Germany and many other countries.
